Upon pickup or delivery of your equipment, a sales representative or technician will instruct you in how to use it safely. Please be sure to ask questions if you have them before operating the machinery. We also provide the operator's manual with each piece of equipment.
We do not rent trailers for transporting rental equipment. However, we do offer delivery and pick up service from job sites. Please call the CBS Rentals branch that serves you for specific details.
Rentals must be paid for on a business account or with a credit card. CBS Rentals cannot accept cash payment for equipment rentals.
The Limited Damage Waiver (LDW) is a limited liability program that can reduce the cost of damage or theft of rented equipment by up to 50%. CBS Rentals requires all renters to purchase LDW unless they have an insurance policy that specifically lists CBS Rentals as the recipient for a damage or theft claim.
No, tire damage and track damage are not covered by LDW. Customers will be charged the full cost for these repairs.
Customers are required to clean their equipment prior to returning it. You may be charged a cleaning fee if your equipment is returned dirty.
Reservations are encouraged in order to ensure timely delivery of your equipment. You will need to provide a credit card in order to place the reservation. Nothing will be charged if your reservation is cancelled. Call your local CBS Rentals branch for more details.
Yes. You are required to be present at the time of delivery and to sign for it.
Equipment is typically picked up within 24 hours of being called off rent. In some circumstances, it may take longer.
You will be given an off rent number when requesting to call equipment off rent.
Yes, you remain responsible for the equipment for as long as it is on your job site until it is picked up.

Yes. You are required to replace or repair flat tires on equipment and trailers. Please note that tire damage is not covered by the LDW.
Yes. Equipment is rented out with a full fuel tank. Customers are responsible for refueling and returning with a full tank. If scheduling a pickup, please make sure to refuel the machine prior to calling.
We consider one rental day to be 8 hours of operation. You will be charged for “overtime” usage if equipment is operated more than 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or 176 hours per month.
Your final cost may differ from the quote based upon whether the equipment was returned on time and whether any fees were incurred for overtime hours or damage. Please ask your sales representative to explain any fees that you do not understand.
Yes, unless the customer is tax exempt.
